Alice Killen joined the SDN Board in August 2011. Alice is a registered medical practitioner, who specialized in medical administration and management. She has chief executive and other senior executive experience in health care, in the public and private sectors, in Australia and overseas. For five years she was CEO of Castlereagh Imaging and Illawarra Radiology Group, which are wholly owned subsidiaries of Sonic Healthcare Ltd. Previously, Alice worked at the Mater Hospital, for 12 years. Initially she was Director of Medical Services and then for seven years she was CEO & Director of Medical Services. Prior to working at the Mater, Alice worked in Boston as consultant to a firm of Health Economists and as Research Associate in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Harvard University School of Public Health.

Alice is currently also Chair of a TECR group for The Executive Connection, an international organisation that is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and enhancing the lives of Chief Executives.
