
Kay joined SDN in September 1997 as Manager of Focus Support Service, and in 2006 was appointed Director of Child, Family and Children’s Services Programs. Kay is responsible for SDN’s early childhood intervention services for children with disabilities and developmental delays, including autism, speech delays and language disorders. Kay oversees three Inclusion Support Agencies, SDN’s Child and Family Resource Centre and six support programs in Cumberland/Blacktown and Northern Sydney.
Kay has 30 years’ experience in early childhood education and early intervention as a teacher, a centre director and a program manager. She has also worked for NGOs and in government services. Kay is an experienced adult trainer and has worked extensively with children with disabilities and their families. She has a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
