Discounted child care fees

SDN offers discounted child care fees to permanent employees who enrol their children in SDN centres.

Health & Wellness at SDN

SDN’s inaugural health and wellness initiatives begin in October 2007 with on-site massage therapy and a good nutrition advisory service.

 

Finder’s fee

Existing staff members are free to recommend friends or family members for positions at SDN. If appointed, the existing staff member will receive up to $300 under the Finder’s Fee scheme.

 

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The SDN Employee Assistance Program offers all employees a free, professional, and confidential counselling service.

 

Paid Maternity Leave

Early Childhood Teachers at SDN Children’s Services are entitled to take up to nine weeks paid maternity leave.

 

Flexible work practices

SDN offers a variety of flexible work practices including part-time, job share, and work from home arrangements.

Commitment to professional development

SDN Children’s Services is highly committed to the ongoing professional development of all staff. Through our Learning and Development team we provide our employees with opportunities to address individual career aspirations and development needs. We run regular professional development days, retreats, in-house continuing education programs, and we provide access to external training activities and initiatives.

 

Study support program

The SDN study support program allows for staff members to apply for a range of benefits to support them during their studies including financial assistance for tuition, course fees and resources as well as additional leave for study and exam purposes.
