We are seeking a Community Leader to lead the delivery of integrated early childhood services across the St George and Southern Sydney regions and Central West NSW region. Our new ’place-based’ organisational structure aims to provide high quality early childhood education and care; strengthen families and communities; and address inequalities faced by children and families. This innovative service model will bring together professionals from the disciplines of: early childhood education, social work and allied health work, collaborating with each other, children and families to build a Community of Learners.
You will have:
- University qualifications in Early Childhood Education or related discipline.
- Demonstrated connection with and willingness to advocate for SDN’s vision, values and philosophy.
- Demonstrated ability to provide collaborative leadership
- A focus on outcomes and a results orientation
- Experience in the delivery of strengths-based, family-centred and child-focussed approaches to service delivery.
- Experience working with children and families with complex needs and knowledge of the child protection and wellbeing systems
- Demonstrated experience in and/or commitment to leading and managing a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated initiative, capacity to work with minimal supervision and confidence in decision making.
- Ability to critically reflect on your own work performance and commitment to ongoing professional development including developing your leadership and management expertise.
