We are seeking an Early Intervention Worker to join our supportive and innovative Early Intervention Team in the Brighter Futures program located at Moruya. As an Early Intervention Worker you will coordinate services and support in accordance with individual family case plans for families enrolled in Brighter Futures. This is a part-time position, working 22.8 hours per week across Tuesday to Thursday.
SDN is a lead agency for the Brighter Futures program, an initiative funded by the Department of Community Services which provides targeted support to vulnerable children and families who face specific challenges.
You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in social work or other relevant degree.
- Demonstrated experience in case management, counseling and assessment experience in working with children and families.
- Excellent experience in relationship building, negotiation and influencing, with a range of stakeholders such as government and community groups
- Knowledge and understanding of a variety of different cultural and religious groups
- Knowledge of community services for referrals, basic health issues, relevant legislation, child development theory and learning approaches
- Knowledge and experience in aiding in the development of children and young people
- Knowledge of empowerment techniques including use of appropriate language and gestures
- Driver’s license and own transport
