We are looking for a dedicated and influential professional teacher to lead a team and manage several of our Child and Family programs including the Early Learning Program, Language Links and Helping Children With Autism (HCWA) Programs.  This role will also encompass a service delivery component which will see you deliver play-based family-centred Early Childhood Intervention services including pre-school and child care centre resource and support and home visiting to an identified caseload.  These programs work with families to build strategies and plan services for children 0 – 5 years of age with a disability or a developmental delay.  

You will have:

  • Degree qualifications in Early Childhood Education;
  • Knowledge & experience in the delivery of strengths-based, family centred approaches to early intervention and family services; as well as activity based approaches to assessment and early intervention for children with special needs;
  • Significant experience  working in the early childhood intervention and early childhood sectors;
  • Commitment to equity and inclusion of children with a disability/developmental delay, collaborative decision making and children’s rights;
  • Ability to effectively manage and lead a team using strengths-based approach and to train others using the approaches outlined above;
  • Skills in negotiation and problem solving approaches; and
  • High level communication and relationship building skills
