About the centre
SDN Bluebell was the first SDN Early Childhood Education and Care Centre to open in the ACT, over fifteen years ago. Located in the central suburb of Belconnen, SDN Bluebell was originally attached to a joint group of five Federal Government departments, and still retains a link with the Australian Bureau of Statistics but also welcomes families from the wider community. The child care centre is open to children from six weeks to school-age, and provides high-quality early childhood curriculum for all children.
Our staff
SDN Bluebell has two Early Childhood Teachers working with babies and preschoolers. Our qualified team of Early Childhood Teachers, Educators and Assistants has a wide variety of experience in early childhood education.
Our care and education programs
Children at SDN Bluebell are provided with a range of exciting and provoking experiences and investigations, building on individual and shared interests. Children are valued as capable and confident individuals and are encouraged to participate in and contribute to all aspects of Bluebell’s early childhood curriculum. Our educators value authentic and respectful relationships with children, families and each other.
Location
Our outdoor environment has been recently renovated and provides a natural, inviting and challenging space for children to explore, investigate and enjoy.
We regularly take children on small excursions into the local community.
