About the centre

SDN Glebe is a long day care and occasional child care centre. We care for children from birth to six years old, offering permanent or occasional care places. Our child care centre is 21 years old and was purpose built. It has been a part of the SDN family since May 2009.

Our staff

We have a range of permanent and part-time staff members, both male and female. The qualifications of our staff include university qualified Early Childhood Teachers, diploma trained staff, and Certificate III in Children’s Services qualified staff. Our staff are multilingual. Their languages include English, Tokelaun, Samoan, Lebanese and Vietnamese.

Our care and education programs

SDN Glebe focuses on small groups experiences. Our focus is a child centered play-based approach, with all provisions stemming from observations of the children and their interests. We aim to provide an environment that reflects children as capable, independent and resourceful researchers. Our priority is making sure that children look forward to each day. Each child is treated as an individual, and their individual play and learning experiences are respected and accommodated.

Location

We have two educational spaces: a 0-3 year olds room and a 3-5 year old room (preschool room).
