Child & Family Resource Centre brochure

The Child and Family Resource Centre at Granville offers the following services:

  • Toy library

  • Parent information

  • Parent groups

  • Parent and child 'stay and play'

  • Family support

Joining the Resource Centre

Families, early childhood students and employees, family day carers, and any children's service for 0-12 year olds are all welcome to join the Resource Centre. The annual fee covers borrowing from the toy library for the whole calendar year. There is no separate charge per item borrowed. Loans are issued for one month.

Individual or family  $50 per year
Group or centre       $100 per year

All fees include GST

The centre is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm. The centre is closed on Wednesdays, Fridays and on public holidays.

Family Support

The Child and Family Resource Centre provides additional support for families facing challenges. Support includes:

  • Finding places in childcare services

  • Providing parenting information and ideas including age appropriate ideas

  • Completing forms

  • Writing letters to other professionals

  • Liaising with other community services and government agencies that can help with your child and family

  • Making referrals to other community services

  • Help for parents facing particular challenges with housing, or with accessing support payments through Centrelink.

Granville train station is a five minute walk away. Two hour parking is available on the corner of Cowper and Rowell Street.
