At SDN we believe that it is the right of all children to access high-quality early education and care, regardless of economic circumstances, developmental status or cultural background. We make it our business to reach out to the most vulnerable in the community.
Although we are skilled at tapping into all sources of government funding, there are still shortfalls and we rely on fundraising to support our work.
Our fundraising efforts in 2009–10 enabled us to set up our Aboriginal unit, Ngara Nanga Mai. In 2011, we are concentrating on raising money to further support the work of Ngara Nanga Mai in Aboriginal communities in greater Sydney.
