" I strongly believe Early childhood is a precious and special time. It is a time for children to build strong foundations, connections and relationships. It’s also a time for each child to feel valued, accepted and allowed to belong, be and become, making sense of their world through play."

My qualifications and experience

I have many years of extensive experience working with children, families, and in strong and supportive team environments where I took on leadership roles within all age groups.

I began working in Early Education as a Diploma-qualified Educator back in 1999. In 2006, I completed my Bachelor of Teaching where I enjoyed connecting and building strong partnerships with many unique families and communities.

What I’m most passionate about in my role

I strongly believe Early childhood is a precious and special time. It is a time for children to build strong foundations, connections and relationships. It’s also a time for each child to feel valued, accepted and allowed to belong, be and become, making sense of their world through play.

I am passionate about lifelong learning and believe Early Childhood Education supports building curiosity and healthy dispositions to learning. I also believe it helps embrace each child’s uniqueness, interests, culture and connection to their community.

Lastly, I am extremely passionate about the importance of supporting each child’s mental health through the implementation of mindfulness, mediation, breathing techniques and yoga techniques, that they can take with them throughout their childhood and adult life. I am also passionate about supporting families and educators' mental health through mindfulness and creating strong connections.

What I love about working with SDN

I love the deep history of SDN and connection with the community. I enjoy working with a diverse and amazing team of educators, where together we can impact positively on children and families through high-quality care and education.

A little bit more about me

I have two older children who are my world, and nothing brings me more pleasure than seeing their accomplishments and seeing them happy and flourishing as young adults.

Our two dogs, an elderly staffy and a young and vibrant French Bull Dog, also brings joy and happiness to our family.
