Get involved
SDN is a not-for-profit organisation, and while many of our programs are supported by government funding, we do need to find additional funds to help us do our work. Any money donated to us or raised by our supporters goes back into our work and benefits the children who use our services.
Many families who use SDN centres volunteer their time to fundraise for new play equipment and special excursions. We also receive donations from businesses, philanthropic foundations and individuals to help fund special activities such as our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Early Childhood Scholarships, our Access and Inclusion Scholarships for children with disabilities or developmental delays, and our autism-specific service SDN Beranga at Rooty Hill.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Early Childhood Scholarships
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Early Childhood Scholarships are donor funded education scholarships offered to young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children to enable them to access high quality early education and care which lays the foundation for lifelong learning.
Access and Inclusion Scholarships
SDN’s pioneering Access and Inclusion Scholarships help to reduce financial barriers and increase participation for children with disabilities to access quality early childhood education and care in the years before school. We believe this improves the education and life outcomes for these children at a time when parents make choices that can change their children’s life trajectory.
SDN Beranga (autism-specific service)
SDN Beranga is a purpose-built centre located at Rooty Hill providing early childhood education and care for young children with autism spectrum disorder.
Our subsidiary company, SDN Child and Family Services, is endorsed by the Australian Tax Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient, so donations greater than $2 are tax deductible.
