SDN’s team of occupational therapists specialise in working with children and can help your child improve their ability to do the everyday things that they want or need to do.

Our occupational therapists can help your child to:

  • improve their ability to look after themselves – for example, eat, dress, or complete personal hygiene tasks
  • Engage in meaningful play activities
  • take part in tasks at school or preschool
  • enjoy leisure activities, like swimming, or sport.

SDN’s occupational therapists come to you and work with your child where they live, play and learn. They include you as part of the team, and actively pass their knowledge, skills and expertise on to you, so therapy can take place every day. This can also reduce the need for so many face to face sessions and provides your family with better value from your NDIS package.

Because our occupational therapists also work as keyworkers as part of a team with speech pathologists, behaviour support practitioners and early intervention practitioners, they have access to the expertise of our team of occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers and early childhood specialists should your child ever need it.
