SDN Randwick at UNSW Sydney

Located on the UNSW campus, SDN Randwick provides high-quality early learning and preschool programs for up to 76 children each day.

At the heart of the centre is a large outdoor environment surrounded by expansive lawns and gardens, creating endless opportunities for children to explore, discover and connect with nature. Children help care for our resident chickens and enjoy planting, growing and harvesting produce from our vegetable gardens, building an understanding of sustainability, the natural world and local cultures.

We place strong importance on relationships and community. From the moment families join the centre, we work to create meaningful connections and a sense of belonging that extends well beyond a child's early learning journey.

Our qualified Early Childhood Teachers and Educators deliver engaging, child-centred learning experiences that respond to children's interests, strengths and ideas. Through play, exploration and hands-on learning, children develop confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

SDN Randwick embraces nature-based learning and encourages children to take on new challenges through active play and age-appropriate risk-taking in a safe and supportive environment.

With four learning spaces, children benefit from both age-specific programs tailored to their stage of development and opportunities to learn alongside children of different ages, fostering collaboration, leadership and social connection.
