What you'll need:
- Pipe cleaners
- Colander or strainer with big holes
- Ribbons
- Scarfs
What to do:
- Thread your chosen items through colander
- Give your child multiple ribbons, scarves, or pipe cleaners in different colors or patterns and ask them to thread items by color, pattern, or size
- Count each ribbon or pipe cleaner as it’s threaded, or try simple addition and subtraction: “If we add 2 more ribbons, how many do we have?”
- Enjoy pulling items out and putting them back in
