Let your child explore and create with their very own kitchen cupboard.

What you'll need:

  • Plastic containers with lids of all shapes and sizes
  • Wooden spoons, whisks or spatulas
  • Measuring cups and spoons (stacking if possible)

What to do:

  1. Select a kitchen cupboard in the kitchen away from the stove and high traffic areas. Clean it out and add your chosen materials.
  2. Allow your child to access this cupboard and remind them it is their special kitchen cupboard.
  3. Play with your child on the floor, testing the properties of each item and learning how to say them.
  4. Encourage your child to play. The open-ended nature of the items will have them playing creatively in no time!
